My vehicle went on the rack at the appointed time and it got fast, no excuse service, unlike some other service centers I have used.

Best Prices I could find, super fast service. I highly recommend. Everyone I've spoken to that have done business with them says they are an honest business. I'll be using them going forward.

Ive been here probably 4 times for my various chevy cruze issues including a state inspection, check engine light/coolant sensor replacement, window regulator replacement, oil change and I had an issue with my windshield wiper. Ive been really happy with them because whatever issue they fix is fixed (nothing has suddenly started breaking a week later) and they also fixed my windshield wiper no charge while doing an oil change. From what I can tell this is a very professional place that wants to do things right the first time so I will definitely come back next time my car has an issue.

These guys are just after your money. First, failed my car for rust on the brakes (new requirement in VT) where my wife's passed at a mechanic we trust and her brakes were "worse" than mine but still safe and within VT State Inspection spec. Second, sent my wife's car for a tire swap and was told the front bushings were shot and had an exhaust leak. Again took it to a trusted mechanic, flex shield on exhaust was loose, no exhaust leak, and bushings are still tight with no visible damage and no play. One tire leaked after a tire change to winter tires, it wasn't leaking before the swap, then told our valve stem was leaking and the whole TPMS had to be replaced and we now owe them more (surprise!). Never going back. Don't go unless you know how to check their diagnoses yourself. An edit to respond to the owner's response: I appreciate your professional reply, however I disagree with your assessment. This was my test to see if I could trust the shop since I live close by, they failed. 6 weeks of tire leaks, yes. I filled them from my air tank, they leaked since the swap at about a 15psi leak per 2 weeks and my wife only drives every 2 weeks. They didn't leak before, but for a valve stem (what, $0.50 part?) I was charged $23. I'm sure that's labor, but says they don't stand behind their work. I didn't want to go back but my wife was convinced they'd fix the issue as it wasn't present before and she made the appointment. I assumed TPMS replaced as it was $23 and I didn't see the print out. The concerns regarding ball joints and exhaust leaks: I messed up the terminology, my bad, however I provided my mechanic the print out from J&L and he did a full front end suspension check with nothing found and checked the full exhaust with no leaks found, just tightened the exhaust shield. I asked him to find anything he could and I'd pay to fix it. Note: He did not recommend waiting for them to "get worse" as they were in fine working condition. I will concede that the inner surface of my brakes was noted on my print out which is why I put it on a lift at home. I am not a mechanic, but it was less rust, when measured from the outer diameter and added together as defined in VT Inspection, than my wife's car (which passed inspection) and I asked my mechanic to double check the brake rust per VT State Inspection guidelines for a comparison. I challenge the honesty of the mechanics at J&L as I've seen in a couple other reviews. So far I have had a trusted mechanic tell me they misrepresented a couple of major issues. It's not worth going back.

Keith, The Malibu arrived for a tire leak six weeks after we installed the tires. To repair the leak, we replaced just the left front valve stem. I am unsure what you are referencing about TPMS-- only a valve stem needed to be replaced, and that is all that was billed for. At the last oil change on the Malibu, there were notes made regarding concerns with exhaust, ball joints, an oil leak, and due filters. There was nothing noted about any bushings. Concerns found at a maintenance appointment are typically followed up with another appointment to verify, estimate, and/or repair the noted issues if the customer chooses. You visited another shop for that type of follow-up which is perfectly fine, and it seems they recommended waiting for the flex pipe and ball joints to get worse before replacing. The Impreza failed the inspection in December due to the front inner brakes not working properly, causing the rotors to rust. We or any shop of your choice can show you the problem by raising the car on a lift if you would like. The inner brake pads and rotor surface can only be seen by either having the car on a lift or the car jacked up and wheels removed. It's common for the outer braking surface be in good condition visually by looking through the wheel, which is why we specify on the invoice exactly where the actual problem is if it can't be easily seen. I am sorry you were dissatisfied with our services. We are not just after money, and if that impression is ever made we will always want to explain anything we can or correct any errors.

After doing research on car shops in saint albans. I picked this one. First the girl at the front desk is super friendly. She makes you feel welcome. I can’t remember her name ugh. But thank you for doing that. I scheduled an appointment for my brakes to be replaced and they were very helpful. They told me it wasnt urgent but it can be changed and it was up to me. I went ahead and changed it. Definitely recommend this place!
