I’ve had my 23 year old vehicle cared for here twice and have had great experiences both times. Quality parts, skilled technicians, and excellent customer service seem to be in short supply in many places these days but not here.

These folks saved me! On Sunday 8/7, I had car trouble driving from Burlington to Barre and just so happen to lose power steering right about the time Auto Craftsmen came in to sight. I managed to coast into their parking lot before the car died completely. Having never been here before for service, I had no idea what to expect but wrote a note about what happened on one of their envelopes, I put my key in it, slipped it into their "after hours" key slot, and crossed my fingers. I can't exaggerate how lucky I feel to have landed at this shop! Everyone I spoke to was helpful, friendly, understanding, and so kind. From the moment I received a call Monday morning to go over what I experienced while driving, through out the whole diagnosis, quote for repair, and actual completion of the repair - they kept me updated through emails & texts in a way I've never found at any repair shop any where. I honestly cannot recommend Auto Craftsmen enough!

The "Unicorn" for car service. Excellent communication pre, during and post repair, they clearly explain the problem, offer options for repair, and treat you with integrity and respect. Truly a 10/10 service experience over multiple years of repairs on different vehicles. Highly recommended without reservation.

Unfortunately I can’t speak to the efficacy or affordability of the work done by Auto Craftsmen. I needed the rear wheel bearings replaced in my car (diagnosed by my father who has changed wheel bearings on every past vehicle of mine and his own but is no longer able to), so I called to ask for an estimate. I knew the work would be a big number, so I wanted to get a sense of what I need before I took the car in. I was told by Amy that coming up with an estimate for me was essentially a waste of her time. As a woman, she spoke to me in a more condescending tone than any male mechanic I’ve ever spoken to. She told me that there was no way she could possibly give me even a ballpark number and that I would have to bring my car into their shop for a full inspection of the vehicle before she could even begin coming up with a number for me. I understand her reasoning and may have even been open to a discussion about this possibility, had it not been for the dismissive, condescending, and rude demeanor of Amy.

For years, we have had the crew at Auto Craftsmen work on our cars, always with excellent results. However, my most recent experience requires a review. The check-engine light kept coming on in my 2015 CRV resulting in the All wheel drive function being lost. Winter in Vermont is not when one wants to lose all wheel drive! Amy and the crew squeezed me in hours before their Holiday break, found me a loaner car. They diagnosed and repaired the problem in time to get me on the road for Christmas. Thank you Auto Craftsmen!

We have used Autocraftsmen’s services for 14 years and have always been happy with their work. Recently they fit us in during a very busy time for them to replace the starter in our car before it left us stranded. That was very much appreciated by us! Nice, honest folks working there which makes it an excellent choice for car repairs.
