They told me I needed work done that I didn’t need — I went to two other places and they said my car was fine. The work they said was needed would have been at least $2000, if I could even find a place to fix it.

Ruth, Sorry you had a bad experience with us. As the person who chatted with you the day of your appointment I of course want to number one apologize you felt taken advantage of but I’d also like to clarify our conversation. In our professional opinion and to the standards of the Vermont state inspection laws your rocker panels did not pass and quiet honestly are not safe and looked like they had been improperly repaired previously. We have a standard that we follow for our inspections and we will not inspect a vehicle that has a compromised structure that could potentially harm you or your passengers if an accident were to occur. I would also like to clarify the quote for “$2000” was an absolute ball park amount and I did actually tell you we were not interested in doing the repairs so you implying we attempted to take advantage is completely false. It’s unfortunate you had a bad experience with us but we do stand behind our recommendation for complete rocker replacement and it’s truly disheartening another facility would inspect a vehicle that has structural issues. You did also forget to mention in your review that we did not charge you for your failed inspection.
