Our car broke down in Randolph and we didn't know any mechanics in the area. Blakemans Towing out of Tunbridge recommended S & B Automotive so our Jeep was dropped off there. So glad they did. S & B Auto, called me at their earliest opportunity to let me know when they could look at it. Keeping in mind this is Winter Tire season, I expected to be without my vehicle for 1+ weeks. Jeremy called me, said they had time to look at it the next day, so they did. He called back with an update of what was needed, then had to call me back later that day to let me know parts were ordered but wouldn't be in for a couple days. The parts came in earlier than expected, and knowing I would need the vehicle back as soon as possible, they got the work done within 24-hours of the parts coming in. I am very appreciative for the work they did. Thank yous to Jeremy, Michael, Sarah, and the entire crew who worked on our Jeep, and for the follow up a few days later. I would recommend S & B Automotive for vehicle repairs to anyone in that region of Vermont.

I called these clowns 2 days ago, left my number twice with a detailed message. They never called back! Could you imagine if you had work done there and you had to contact them about a problem? I bet they would make themselves pretty unavailable.

We are often mistaken for another business in town. We take pride in our customer service and have policies in place for returning phone messages. Brought in my vehicle after noticing squealing coming from front breaks. Requested an inspection, winterization, and brakes service. Breaks were "fine" although the technician even reported their width being below standard, safe levels. Multiple lightbulbs were "broken" even though less than 24hrs prior I noticed no problems with the lights. Invoice stated that tires were inspected, filled to required pressure, and the sensor was reset; upon driving for approx. 5mi and still having a tire pressure warning light, I inspected the pressure myself to find that only my front tires were filled to the correct pressure while my rear tires were ~3-4psi below required pressure. Overall, kind and personable employees and technicians; however, much of the interactions and communication didn't seem honest or accurate.

Jan 24, 2024And this is exactly why we have our technicians do lots of pictures during our digital check over. It is rather disappointing to receive a two star rating when all we did was fix your concerns, and did not charge you to check the coolant temp rating, or the rear differential fluid. You should have received the digital link, as well as the final invoice with the technician notes. If you did not receive that and would like me to send it to you, I would be more than happy to do so. Unfortunately I do not see anywhere on your paperwork that there was a brake concern. Nor do I see where the tech noted they were bad, or below spec? Unfortunately I cannot attach pictures to this post but everything you are saying, I have documentation showing different. I wish you had called so that we had the opportunity to fix your misunderstanding. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to give us a call.

If ever there was an opportunity to be taken advantage of this was it. It was a Friday mid morning and we’re 1200 miles from home and have a tire going down slowly. Though they were very busy Mike agreed to look at my situation and was able to resolve it within a short period of time for a very reasonable sum of $35. Based upon this experience, I would highly recommend them for any needs that you may have.

I called with a request to have tires changed, an inspection done, and a dandling heat shield re attached. S&B got me in super fast even with a full schedule and was beyond accommodating! Excellent service and fantastic staff! They will be my go to for all repair needs from now in!

I broke down on the highway not far from their shop and was able to drive myself there. I live in Boston so was far away from home and needed the car fixed quickly as I was supposed to go back home in 2 days. They were able to get my car fixed in time and were very kind during my troubles. Sarah and Michael were both great to work with and I would recommend anyone in the area to go here!

Was very pleased S&B Auto could take my truck so quickly, and replace the muffler. Was also very appreciative of the complimentary, thorough, pre-service inspection, and excellent communication.
