I took my vehicle in for an inspection, a newer vehicle in very good shape and well maintained by another mechanic who could not do the inspection for me at the time. I was told the vehicle would not pass due to a bad ball joint and that they could fix it for me the following day. I said no thanks and that I would take it to my mechanic, who checked it out and said he couldn't find anything wrong with the ball joint, or anything in the suspension at all. This adds up because there have been zero symptoms of a bad ball joint (no clunking, noise, etc). It seems these guys are engaging in some shady/fraudulent services/repairs, and scamming people. Thieves. Stay away.
