I had a state inspection done at Porters Diesel and it was done properly and in a timely fashion. I trust Cliff and his team to service my truck and class A RV. I will always return to his shop for my Vehicles service. The man is to the point and honest. I respect that.

I would like to say that this business is absolutely disgraceful, dishonest and the owner is disrespectful beyond words. We were camping for the week when we had a slight mishap. After filling our fuel tank, my husband went to fill the DEF tank and mistakenly poured about 3 cups worth into the fuel tank. We panicked as we know that this is a big no-no, yet it happened. We did not start the motor as we knew that would be even worse. We called Porter's to see what we might be able to do. They knew (because I told them multiple times) that we didn't run the truck. They told us we needed to drain and clean the fuel tank. They sent a tow truck to pick up our truck and said it would be ready before noon the next day. After the truck was taken away, we were able to get in touch with a family member who is a diesel mechanic. He informed me that it would have been safe to allow the truck to sit until the next day because that small of an amount of DEF in a full tank of fuel would have settled and crystallized in the bottom of the tank. Additionally, he said that the filters would have caught any crystals and we may have had to replace the filters if that happened. Long story short, Porter's did not tell us any of this. When I called the next day, at 11:30 a.m. to check on the progress, the owner was rude and told me that if I left a number, someone would call when it was done, and he hung up on me. We didn't get a call until 3: 30 p.m. Upon arriving to pick up our truck, we were confronted with a $1,110 bill. I reviewed the bill and saw that I was charged for new fuel filters (which I DID NOT need) as well as 6+ hours of labor! I wanted an explanation so I asked for the owner. When he came to the counter he stated the following, 'this is exactly why I don't do work for people like YOU! I was stunned, my reply was, 'people like us? What do you mean by that?!' Needless to say, he continued to be rude and disrespectful. Final thought; don't bother giving this place your business unless you want to be taken advantage of and belittled.

Excellent service first time doing business with them I am an out of state company had a brake down they came out to help my driver so he was able to make his delivery then made all necessary repairs received a phone call expecting the worst and they had everything completed and I was able to put equipment back in service with only 2 days downtime my local shop would have hade it tied up for two weeks thank you porters diesel

What can you say it's a truck repair shop but the crew and the staff are very professional and respectful I brought my RV in for a state inspection and I was in and out in no time with no surprises I will definitely be going back to him thank you again for your service

Clint Porter knows his business and isn't afraid to share his knowledge. He brought my 1987 JD 410C backhoe back to life for me and is currently repairing the front hub assembly. Expect to get in line because, when you see the variety in his parking lot, you realize that he's everybody's destination and WELL worth it.
