The BEST and NICEST people I could have met to get me out of a major jam during vacation from NJ. John was so helpful in diagnosing a tire issue and found more than I expected, but so grateful for his quick service and had me back and running to enjoy the rest of vacay and safely back to NJ. New to area. Chose Dow's for auto service based on friend's recommendation. Great service. Explains problems in detail. Don't add on services that aren't necessary. Have since heard many recommendations for Dow's as a competent, trustworthy service.

First time for me at Dow's Automotive today. Dropped off my Chevy colorado for new tires and breaks last night and it was all done within 3 hours and came back picked up my truck today. All I can say is this is the best and fast excellent service I ever had in a very long time. Very friendly and respectful and John helped out What I need. They get the job done and I'm very satisfied with the results. I will be back and I promise to anyone you won't be disappointed.

Post is long overdue but the group at Dows are fantastic. Professional, honest, and personable. Always take my car here since I’ve moved to Portsmouth years ago and always receive great service and honest, straight forward advice. This was a couple years ago but one time I had a friend visiting from out of town and they had struck a curb and had a possible faulty tire. It was late Friday afternoon (not an easy time to find a last minute mechanic) and they needed to drive back to New York that day. Called Dows and John offered to have her come by (even after they had closed for the day). He inspected the tire and gave her the reassurance that it was safe for her travels and charged nothing. Exceptionally kind gesture.
