If ever there was someone on Earth that I would call a saviour, it is Mr. Doug Richmond. There isn't another business in town that I have frequented so much they are sick of seeing me (my vehicle at least). This place is fair, at times I had been frustrated because I had money to do things, but he wouldn't do the work because it wasn't necessary; and then there are these times, now, where I am financially embarrassed and have to plan my repairs in order of importance and ability to pay. He hasn't steered me wrong, he has been the most patient person when I have to leave my vehicle until I have money to pay for it. He is the most humble person I have ever met. I feel like I am home when I pull into his yard, although my wallet would call it hell, his prices are comparable, his calm understanding demeanor is more than I get from family; he doesn't get mad when I do stupid things, like drive on a flat tire (it was low- I tried to patch it for a 200 mile trip, his guys patched it), or not checking the oil 3 months after an oil change (my cars are turn of the century). I did have the car undercoated (that's a different review) but that was done at his insistence "You've got so much money into this . . ." I can't Thank him enough for keeping us safe, although I bought a death trap (longer story) he has slowly but surely made it something I can drive, and know that, for the most part, it will keep rolling. It was a lemon when I bought it, (help isn't help in my life), and so I am happy to pay Doug as he is the only person on Earth that I can trust to do what he says and give me back my car in better shape than when I left it; and he dosen't want anything from me except paying my bill and maybe a shared laugh. People like him are rare and I dread the day he retires; he is the closest I have to really knowing what a "grown up" is and I aspire to be half the human he is. I've known Doug for more than half my life, quarter of a century of dealings- I have the deepest regard and Respect for him that I don't think I could ever truly convey to him how much he means to me. He knows a lot about a lot, approach with respect and You'll accidentally get a glimpse at wisdom. He is definitely a Soul I have come to Love and Respect; there aren't a lot of people I can say that about in this Taj-ma-hole of a life I'm living.
