Like others have said, Marc is an awesome mechanic with a big heart, lots of understanding and patience...and does his absolute best to do the utmost for his customers (ESPECIALLY those that happen to be in a time or financial pinch, this has been me a few times). Like others have ALSO said: borderline genius....excellent intuition into diagnosis of odd problems whose cause seems to elude other, lesser mechanics. Goes out of his way to get you back on the road/back down the road safely. And don't let the name fool ya. He's a genuinely kind guy who is usually tired and drowning in work. Crack a little joke and you'll see he's not so grumpy after all. Highly recommended, been with him for 12 years.

Marc literally saved my butt. After failing my inspection for a multitude of reasons and being quoted stratospheric sums, a friend in my building steered me to Londonderry's best kept secret. I didn't have an appointment but Marc worked night and day to make sure I got my sticker on time so I could keep working. He is passionate and very knowledgable about his calling. He is also honest! He brought the job in for half of what I'd been quoted. He actually remembered my schedule, gave me transportation, kept me up to date and reached out to make sure all was running smoothly on two separate occasions. I'm truly grateful for his talent, effort and how he went above and beyond! Thanks Marc, no more mechanic shopping for me...highly recommended!

Back in October of 2023 grumpys garage fixed a multitude of mechanical issues on my son’s car due to my son not taking care of his vehicle. During that time there was issues with getting the parts Mark needed to complete the job. He kept me up to date and letting me know when the parts came in and each time the part came in he worked on his vehicle. It took awhile but when it was finished the car purred like a cat. My son and I were so happy that all things I asked to be fixed were totally done along with some things we didn’t know about. This garage is absolutely amazing and Mark will always be MY MECHANIC.

STAY AWAY from this shop. Marc (the owner) had my van for two weeks. Impossible to get proper updates from and made up every excuse possible as to why the van wasn't ready. He finally said he fixed the problem and I ended up having to pay $500 just to pay ANOTHER $500 to have someone else fix the problem in a few hours. The owner denied any responsibility and refused to give a partial refund even though on his invoice it states "ALL WORK PERFORMED AND PARTS USED SHALL BE GUARANTEED FOR 90 DAYS OR 3000 MILES". New mechanic also pointed out a freshly stripped axle as well. Now I'm out $1,000 with damage to my vehicle because of his mistake and negligence. Marc refuses to refund me even $200.

It's unfortunate. Mark seemed like a nice guy from the start. We called late and he got us right in. I think my first clue to GTFO was his rant bad mouthing local mechanics, he's the one to be weary of. From there it was nothing but trying fixes, postponing finish date, and a completed inability to communicate updates. At the end of it he told us the issue was fixed and we just needed to drive around a bit for the light to go off. Two days later we took it to another mechanic and the issue was fixed within a few hours. Not only did he fail to fix the issue and charge us for it, he also caused damage to the vehicles wheel assembly. When confronted all he did was deny, deny, deny. If it's anything but an oil change STAY AWAY!

I recommend Grumpys Garage because Marc does excellent work, if anyone needs work done on their car, go see Marc

The business name says it all for this landfill, I mean garage. Spoke to the owner on the phone and was very rude, decided to take business elsewhere, if you care about your car this probably isn’t the garage for you

I would not recommend going here. He had my truck for nine months, and gave me every excuse under the sun and come to find out, had only broken bolts on my frame, so that he couldn’t get my cab off the truck which needed to happen in order to fix it instead of just telling me this, he continue to make up stories and lies to the point where I had to get my truck towed out of there to a mechanic who actually fixed my truck within two weeks I was highly disappointed at the unprofessionalism and lying to me, which caused me great hardship with my business would definitely not recommend this business
