Man, was feeling hopeful after reading the reviews to give this shop a try. Called in with a really simple question (do you have a road force balancer?) because I know exactly what I need done. Dude on the phone avoided the question by asking me what kind of car I had, I told him what I had and he didn’t even recognize the model of the truck. Then he told me that I’ve been getting “bad service” on my truck and had been listening to “internet information” and that I didn’t actually know what I needed. I was polite and reasonable to him and he jumped to being straight up condescending for no reason. Like dude, if you don’t have a road force balancer just say that, but don’t waste my time and DONT be a jerk to me for no reason. Absolute clown show.

Always helpful and reliable. Have been taking both of our cars there for 6-7 years. All auto repairs are expensive but they are always reasonable!!!

The owner was very nice and accommodating. Got oil change and window fixed. What seemed like just a few minutes. If ever back in town definitely go back for my vehicle needs. Very close to Kansas University Medical center.

The first time I went in it was because of a review specifically saying that they were respectful of women. I felt so hopeful! My first experience felt great, they listened to my concerns and didn’t rush me. I was shocked that I got a call back the same day saying that my car was ready for pickup. This was truly the holy grail of auto shops! Though the tech mentioned my catalytic converter may be bad, so I have been mulling over my “what’s next” with my car. I decided to give them a call to see what it would potentially be like if I just took the plunge and fixed my car. I wanted to make sure I fully understood what was being told to me as BK was explaining the systems of the car and what could be wrong with mine. There was an analogy to body parts happening. He very rudely said “I literally just told you that” when I asked which part was leaking, so I asked again and he said the same thing. I then got a condescending voicemail. I could have caught them on a bad day but I rarely receive treatment that leaves me actually willing to give a poor review.

Went in for an oil change and to get a second opinion on some work done by at another shop. BK was extremely knowledgeable, honest and great at communicating concepts to a laymen like myself. It’s always a pain moving to a new area and having to find a new shop that’s trustworthy, but I was fortunate to stumble onto Auto Werks and can say they’ll be my trusted go-to whenever I need any work done from here on.

A friend recommended BK at Auto Works because he is honest, explains issues clearly, does good work and is respectful to women customers. I went for a diagnostic. He and his associate looked under my car, determined that the missing underliner piece was not essential and advised not replacing it due to excessive charge for replacement. I appreciate that level of ethical service. I will go there for my next oil change and any other future car issues.
