My experience was less than stellar. I purchased a certified preowned vehicle from a dealership in another city. We have a warranty through GM (it is a certified pre owned vehicle) and that allows us to take it to a certified GM dealer which Briggs is. On my first call I was told by the young lady they didn’t do that unless the vehicle was bought at Briggs. So I called the dealership we bought it from and they reached out to Briggs to confirm that it could, in fact, be done. I called another time to schedule the appointment after the dealership had called and was told I needed to speak with somebody in the GM service department and they’d have them give me a call back shortly. Since I didn’t hear back in 24 hours, I called back the next day and was finally able to set up an appointment for an oil change… a week later. My husband called shortly after to ask them to service the transmission as well and they said okay. A week later, the appointment day arrives! I drop my car off and take my warranty paperwork in to make sure I’m not charged for the oil change. The young lady there was kind, but acted like it was going to be an issue to honor the free oil change (GM’s warranty not the dealerships). She said they would get it taken care of then confirmed the transmission was shifting hard and that we wanted it serviced, to which I said yes. I called twice that day to check the status. Both times I was told somebody would get back to me and I never heard a peep. My husband stopped on his way home from work, only to be told they just checked the transmission (didn’t service it the way we requested and confirmed twice). But the oil change was done. We asked them to service the transmission a third time (flushing it and checking it and changing the filter). They offered me a loaner car because it wasn’t going to be done until the next day. I’m grateful for that action. I go to pick up the loaner car after work and was told my car was actually done. Thank goodness! Except they only flushed the transmission fluids. No filter change (as they didn’t have the part) but no phone call either to let us know that this was the case even though they proceeded with the flush of the system. They could order the part and we could take the car back a few weeks later though when the part came in (which would require yet another flush of the system). He did say the fluid was dark (indicating it was time for it to be changed). It took a good fifteen to twenty minutes to find the paperwork and keys as well. I paid and took my car and more than likely will not be going back to Briggs after this experience. I appreciate the Service Manager trying to work with us. But overall the experience was not good at all.

They were amazing. Mr Henry helped my daughter a lot and MNG. was very attentive. Mechanical dept. awesome, clear and precise. Do recommend them for acquiring a vehicle new or used because they care about their customers and their relationship they build. Thank you for taking care of my daughter.

If you are in need of service, you probably want to make a reservation. However, I missed mine because of other pressing business but, Lacey (Customer Service Representative) was able to get me into the service department early on short notice. I am appreciative of her and the service Briggs provided for me, and I will definitely be using them again. Thanks Lacey 🌹
