Took my car in because I had a water pump leaking. They told me on my PT Cruiser that if I was replacing water pump that I should also replace timing chain. I went ahead and had them do the work. Cost me $1400. My car ran hot the day after I picked it up on highway 70..which was 30 miles away from home and their shop. Before I could have the car towed, the city had it towed that day. I called to see if the shop could help me, they were very rude on the phone and said it was my fault that the car ran hot and they were not responsible. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. I’ve never been treated like this in my life. I rarely take my cars to the shop and this is the main reason why. Please take your vehicles somewhere else.

May 24, 2023When replacing water pump on an interference engine it is important to replace timing components, so parts aren't reused when taken off especially timing because it can ruin the engine. We understand the frustration of the city having your car impounded, when your vehicle got hot all you had to do was call us and we could have gotten it picked up before the city impounded the vehicle. We had no idea this happened until the city had already taken your vehicle to the impound then we were informed, we never said it was your fault that the vehicle got hot, and we have followed up with you trying everything in our power to help you get the vehicle out of impound, we cannot control what the city decides to do, the city should have given you 48 hrs. from the time it was on the side of the road to get a tow before it could be impounded. We highly suggest taking this up with the city to get this straightened out, if vehicle has a water pump issue again, we can follow up with the company we got the water pump from and get this repair under warranty. We hope you can realize that the city has done a wrongdoing and we want to help you, but we cannot do anything until the vehicle gets out of impound. Anytime a situation like this occurs customers should call the shop so we can get a tow or come help you immediately if this happens, instead of leaving the vehicle for a certain amount of time, we would have been right there to help you. Sorry for the misunderstanding and hope you can give us another chance.
A1 is a very honest business that explains in detail what the issue is and if you can afford to skip it depending on your situation and the vehicle's condition. They do not perform services without permission and have serviced my vehicle time and time again. I recomend an appointment as they are normally busy.
My Nissan Versa was experiencing a grinding noise and vibration from the right rear tire. A-One quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad hub and spindle and burned-out bearings. They quoted me a very reasonable price and had the car repaired in a single day. They also provided a military discount on the labor. This shop is professional and up-front on repair costs. I'll be going back to them as a long-term resident for any further repairs for my family vehicles.
